Ssangchu's love story started on the 11th of May 2008, as the variety show "We Got Married" introuduced their new cast, to portray an older/younger couple.

Kim Hyunjoong charmed his way to a lot of the audiences' hearts with his 4 dimensional character and witty comments. Many believed that his way of escaping arguments (following his wife, sidetracking her by making her laugh) made their married life more carefree and full of happiness.

Hwangbo, most popular because of her "General" or rather tomboyish character, was unexpectedly a very feminine wife. Understanding and loving, Hwangbo received a lot of love after the viewers saw how she takes care of her husband, making clothes for him, cooking for him & even preparing medicine when she felt Hyunjoong was stressed with his schedules.
