Anyways, I do not know if you guys noticed, but there is a Ssangchu Ward section in the navigation bar hehe~ and this is it! It is a section just for Joongboers, where we all can share and discuss about different topics regarding Joongbo. :) They will all start with a question. And for this first post I wish to ask..
What is your favorite Ssangchu moment
(Inside and Outside of WGM)?
For me.. when it comes to Ssangchu episodes, I cannot get over the times Hyunjoong gets jealous. Most memorable was on the farm episode in which he asked Hwangbo "Who else do you want to marry?", when she was talking about how she wants to make good deeds when she gets married. I also like how he threatened to ruin her wedding day LOL. Jealous Hyunjoong, whether with a female model, a girl, or a horse, is jjang. xD!
Outside WGM, I have to choose that guesting he did on Champagne. I know a lot of Joongboers remember this as when Hyunjoong chose Hyori over Hwangbo. That time, the easiest conclusion I grasped on to was that Hyori, being his ideal woman forever was the easy, non-controversial choice. Everyone knows he likes Hyori, and a lot of celebrities' ideal woman is Hyori. It's like when someone says, "My ideal woman is Jun Ji Hyun. Song Hye Gyo." A safe and acceptable answer.
Let's say he did choose Hwangbo, well that is not exactly a safe, non-controversial answer. Antis might attack her, he might lose fans as well. Pretty much, there would be chaos. (Present example would be Jonghyun & Shin Se Kyung)
However at that time, this conclusion only settled me down temporarily... It was not enough.
My sister knows this time pretty well because everytime she drives me to school, I would talk about it. I would ask her so much, 'Why did he do that?' I was seriously, seriously hurt.
I keep on repeating the video again, and I realized I just missed an important quote he gave. I was so consumed by his "choice" that I didn't pay attention on the moment when the faces of Hwangbo and Hyori were on the screen and he stated, "This should be the finals."
I thought, "Wait, did Hyunjoong just compare Hyori, his ideal woman for years to Hwangbo who he was with for 8 months?" Before debut, Hyori was Hyunjoong's ideal woman. He was in the same company as her when he became SS501. Hyori was his senior and helped him out in his idol life. On the other hand, he only got to really know Hwangbo when they filmed We Got Married. In those 8 months, they filmed twice a week. One for the actual married life and studio filming, where all the couples are there and they watch the "couple life" videos together.
So 8 months x 4 weeks in a month.
Then multiply by the 2 days they are together in a week. (Let's say 2 days in a week even if the studio filming was taken out later on the show.)
That's 64 days, about 2 months of being together.
When Hyunjoong said, "This should be the finals," didn't he pretty much say, "It's difficult to choose between my ideal woman for years and the woman I had a fake marriage for 2 months..."?
Isn't that a big thing?
After thinking this, I went back to blogging about Ssangchu again. hehe~ To the world!
